Being a force without being forceful
From my experience, the quality of a person wisdom reflects the quality of their leadership. What is wisdom? Maybe it’s the weave of our baskets from the experiences we collect? From all the trials and errors? It’s important for us to know who we are, both as an organism and as a being and I think leading from this insight towards our purpose would be a good framework for leadership.
It seems too easy to get focused on being a leader than to focus on what we are leading towards. Do we walk the path of leaders or do we only become true leaders when we walk the path of purpose.
Looking back, I see that I it was too easy for me to look at myself through the eyes of others. I walked about with this second hand knowledge, wrongly thinking that it was my own.
Its too easy to walk the beaten path since it appears to lead somewhere. But as you reach all these destinations a small realisation settles in that to discover something new, you need to be okay with walking alone deep into the long grass and into the unknown.
You need to stand in the quiet space between the cause and effect. That quiet space where the vast majority lose all hope. When we stand in this pace long enough, our perception shift from our two eyes that see the emptiness outside, to the watchful eye that sees the vastness inside. Between our judgements, between our reactions, between our beliefs and in this space where lies nothing and everything.
Read & Meditate, Meditate & Read
“It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.” ― Oscar Wilde
Follow anything that makes your curious like you did when you were younger. Reconnect with that playfulness of insecurity that leads us into the unknown. Read, try, fail, try again.
As we see ourselves clearly, we see everything else clearly, and as our clarity improve, we relax and as our shoes get more comfortable and we can walk a little further.
