The Beauty in Meditation
When we meditate, are we trying to change something?
Is wanting happiness a worthy goal? Do we even know what happiness is tho? How can we know happiness if we don’t know what suffering is? Maybe instead of running towards happiness we should welcome suffering.
Suffering becomes suffering when you push it away. It’s only when we push away at its imagined force, that the force becomes real. What happens when you turn around and look directly, not at the meaning, but at the sensations of suffering? of fear?
When that realisation trickles through, the force dissipates. Only when we can look at suffering, without changing it or resisting it or running away from it, can we begin to see what suffering/fear/happiness/excitement/etc really is.
Slowly it starts to detangle our mind from itself.
As we begin to free ourselves, we will begin to take meaningful action.
We don’t need to figure out beauty, it’s just there to be experienced.
